UCLA Latino Policy Studies Research Projects
From 2002-2009, the CSRC, in cooperation with the Institute of American Cultures (IAC) Research Grant Program in ethnic studies, awarded grants for the promotion of policy-relevant research on Chicano and Latino issues in California.
Funding for the UCLA Latino Policy Studies Research Program came from the University of California Committee on Latino Research (UCCLR). It was the result of Senate Concurrent Resolution 43, Presley, 1987, charging the university with examining important policy relevant issues concerning California's growing Latino population. The research projects conducted by UCLA faculty and graduate students were an important part of the CSRC response to this mandate.
Research findings were submitted to the CSRC Press for publication as Latino Policy & Issues Briefs.
