Mexican singer-songwriter Ely Guerra, author of award-winning musical compositions that celebrate the popular and folkloric traditions of Mexico with contemporary themes, has been named a UC Regents’ Lecturer for 2015-2016. Guerra won a Latin GRAMMY for "Best Alternative Music Album,” was featured on the cover of TIME magazine as one of "The Most Promising Performers in the Mexican Rock Scene," and contributed to the movie soundtrack of Amores Perros.

She will be performing in an event free to the UCLA campus community. Guests must RSVP and show Bruincard ID to be admitted. Check in begins at 7:15pm and the performance begins at 8pm. Tickets not claimed by 7:50pm the night of the show will be released to other guests.Only one ticket may be reserved per person.***
