Face to Face, Mouth to Mouth is a group show on view at gallery Nous Tous LA through December 30, comprising works by Rosalee Bernabe, Cinthya Guillen, Robben Munoz, Oscar Ochoa, and Lauren Woore. The artists featured utilize divergent strategies to investigate transnational narratives, ones that have been historically erased, downplayed, and/or forgotten.
Face to Face, Mouth to Mouth presents a screening of ¡Por Favor, No Me Entierren! (Please Don't Bury Me Alive!) (1976) directed by and starring Efraín Gutiérrez and widely described as the first Chicano feature film. The film was preserved by the CSRC and the UCLA Film and Television Archive and recently inducted into the National Film Registry.
